What is the Crane Safe Working Space Protection Function

The crane's safe working space protection function primarily safeguards against collisions during operations by serving as a warning system. Factors such as boom length, boom tip height, and working radius determine the space required for crane operation. In open areas, the crane can freely adjust its working space size (within the load chart's specified moment limits) without collision risks due to insufficient space. However, in confined areas, the crane must operate within a defined space to prevent collisions caused by exceeding the restricted working area. The crane's safe working space protection allows the operator to set a defined zone based on the operational environment. The crane can operate freely within this zone, but if it exceeds the defined area, an immediate alarm alerts the operator.

After configuring the crane's safety working space, the system issues a warning if one or more of the following parameters—boom tip height, working radius, or boom length—exceed the safe limits during operation.

Overall, the crane's safe working space protection function significantly enhances operational safety in confined work areas.
